Thematically speaking, it's a bit weak, but weakness is far from the proper word to describe the score as a whole. A lot of excitement and power comes from the music, and it's just the right sort of music to make the visuals seem more energetic and thrilling. Sure, an action score's not the place to look for melody, and you won't find much here, but a better-than-workmanlike action score certainly makes for a decent listen. And, just when you think you're not going to get anything resembling a melody, the pleasantly majestic track 14 ("End Credits") wraps everything up, choir included. Recommended. | |
