Dynamic scoring and agreeable orchestration with the Trinity Boys Choir along for the ride, this score is well worth repeated listening. I'm into some of Sarde's other work, and kept putting off this purchase for a long time, finally giving in at the last big Tower Records sale. I'm glad I did. The liner notes single out track 9 ("Bacchanalia") and rightly so - this is the score at its most dynamic and vibrant, and comes right after the far more gentle choir of the preceding track ("After the Storm"). Recommended. | |
