CRASH

Howard Shore's score for the David Cronenberg film fit fairly well, in a weird, otherworldly sense. It's a meandering slushpile of quiet nighttime electric guitar plucks and simple orchestra that I might find interesting in certain circumstances, but despite these concessions I can't find enough to recommend. I'm not sure it would even help if I liked the movie, which I didn't. I guess that sums up my feelings for both the film AND the score - somewhat interesting, but I don't LIKE it much. It reminded me a bit of the music from "Dead Man" which I can't abide at all, but at least this is more listenable. Not recommended.
