RECLAMATION

Shadowcast was shot and originally "completed" in 2002. At the time, mass-producing DVDs was just out of reach of our capabilities, so we settled on releasing the movie on VHS and VCD. The story had been loosely conceived by Robert Warnock as a trilogy; The Six Minute Grave Wisdom is the prequel to Shadowcast and was completed first, while the sequel Reclamation was completed in early 2005.

With the trilogy complete, we set our sights on a complete full-featured DVD release at last, and to that end, Shadowcast went back into production in 2004, some additional footage was shot and numerous scenes were worked on for improvement. The DVD features the new director's cut of the movie completed in November 2004, both short films The Six Minute Grave Wisdom and Reclamation, three audio commentary tracks (track 1 with director/writer/composer/actor Robert Warnock and cinematographer/editor/actor Mike Olson, track 2 with actors Steve Hill and Jennifer Adams Kelley, and track 3 with actors Bryan Gruszka and Wil Roysdon), the teaser trailer, a special effects comparison featurette, isolated score, a photo gallery, poster gallery, blooper reel, audition footage, the complete shooting script, chapter selections (of course) and even a few easter eggs. It also includes (for the first time, to our knowledge, on a fanvideo DVD) English subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing, an addition of which we are very proud.

The special edition director's cut will receive its public premiere screening in Van Nuys, California on February 19, 2005. See http://www.gallifreyone.com/gallifrey.php . (There was a sneak preview screening of the special edition director's cut in Chicago in November 2004 after its completion.)

Also, it may be appearing at a midwestern film festival later in 2005... more information as soon as we get it!
