TIMELINE
23 November 2002
Shadowcast receives its private (cast and crew) premiere in Chicago. Most of the people who had a hand in production were
present, along with a few special guests (such as Nick Seidler, who professionally does film premiere audience response evaluations for major studios).
29 November 2002
The film's public premiere was in front of an audience of about 100 people (as estimated by Mr Seidler) in the main
ballroom of the Sheraton Northwest Chicago hotel. Mr Seidler performed an impromptu audience response evaluation for us, and while sagely reminding us
that we had a target audience, said that we scored very highly in audience appreciation. After the premiere, copies were made available for sale on both
VHS and VCD (with DVD being only in the early planning stages at the time).
15 February 2003
The film receives its west coast premiere in Van Nuys, California to a standing-room-only crowd of about 50 (it was a fairly small room).
It got a wonderful reception.
June 2004
Shadowcast officially goes back into production, with additional footage being shot, and work beginning on a new cut.
27 November 2004
A select audience is treated to a screening of the newly completed cut of Shadowcast at the Wyndham Hotel Rosemont in Illinois. Work begins on the DVD release.
19 February 2005
The new cut of Shadowcast is publicly screened in Van Nuys, California. The DVD officially goes on sale. The first copy is sold to one Rob Shearman!
